Who we are

Syracuse Basement Co. is a basement planning and matching resource. We are not a contractor and do not perform construction. When you request a walkthrough, we connect you with an independent local basement contractor.

Information we collect

What you send us: your name, phone number, and optionally your email, city, project type, budget range, timeframe and project details.
Technical information: the page you submitted from, how you arrived at the site (for example, campaign tags in the link or the referring website) and basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, used for spam prevention and to understand which pages help people.
Phone calls: calls to our phone number are handled by a call-tracking service that logs the calling number, the time and length of the call, and forwards the call. Calls are not currently recorded; if recording is ever turned on, you will hear a message before the call connects.
Analytics: if analytics are enabled, standard usage data such as pages viewed and buttons clicked, collected through Google Analytics or a similar service using cookies or similar technologies.

How we use it

To respond to your request and arrange contact with a contractor.
To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
To understand and improve the website.

To respond to your request, we share the information you submit with an independent local basement contractor serving your area, so they can contact you to schedule a walkthrough. That contractor is a separate business. Their handling of your information, and any agreement you make with them, is governed by their own policies and terms.

We use service providers to run the site, such as website hosting and form processing (Netlify), call tracking and, if enabled, analytics. They process information on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as needed to respond to your request and for reasonable record-keeping, then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information you sent us, or ask us not to contact you again, by sending a request through our contact form and saying so in the details field. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning home projects and is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
