Our role

Syracuse Basement Co. is a basement planning and matching resource. We are not a licensed contractor and do not perform construction, design or engineering services. When you submit a request, we share it with an independent local basement contractor. Any estimate, contract, permit, warranty or work is solely between you and that contractor.

Information on this site

Our guides are general information, not professional, legal, engineering or code-compliance advice. Building codes, permit requirements, fees and city rules change and are applied case by case. We cite sources and note review dates, but you should confirm requirements with your city's building department and qualified professionals before making decisions. Cost figures come from the publishers we cite and are not quotes.

Photos on this site are illustrations of finished basements. They are not completed projects by Syracuse Basement Co. or any contractor we work with.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site, submit false information, attempt to interfere with its operation, or copy its content for commercial use without permission.
